The ROT is a non profit-making organisation. All subscriptions will be donated to Rottweiler rehoming and welfare organisations.

Does my dog need to be KC registered ?

No this is protecting our breed, all of them. That includes registered, un registered & rescues because like the trust moto states  If one Rottweiler suffers – we all suffer

How are we going to achieve this?

Our breed has been mercilessly persecuted by the media for over 20 years and we think it is time we are given a fair deal. The Rottweiler community is frustrated with the way our breed is continuously presented by the media thus perpetuating the myth that the Rottweiler is a rogue. This fuels the desire for unscrupulous members of the public to own one. Please help us to break this cycle by joining our Trust to present a united front to protest whenever the breed is unjustly portrayed.

Each time there is media sensation regarding our breed, Rottweiler rescue organisations are swamped with calls from members of the public wanting to rehome their once-loved animals, who have committed no crime.

Through joining our Trust, Members will be part of a national network of people who are prepared to stand up and defend the Rottweiler.

We intend to establish a national database of email and phone links for ALL owners and supporters of the Rottweiler – both registered and unregistered. This will provide fast and efficient lines of communication so that everyone can be quickly made aware of any unfair detrimental programme, newspaper article or anything which reflects the Rottweiler in an unjust negative way. The ROT can then take APPROPRIATE LAWFUL ACTION.

This action will vary depending on the nature of the issue. It may take the form of mass or individual complaint by way of email, letter writing or phone call.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The aims and objectives of the Rottweilers Owners Trust (ROT) are purely to promote the good name of the Rottweiler and to defend it against unfair or unjust comments or actions from any quarter by way of a national database of e-mail and phone links
